The symptom, complex of dysphagia, iron deficiency anemia, glossitis, koilonychia has been known for over sixty years mainly in the Western area, but rarely in this Oriental area.
When middle aged woman complaining of dysphagia and sore tongue was examined, it was thought that the case deserved the attention of the otolaryngologist bearing this syndrome in mind.
Recently we have experienced two cases of the Plummer-Vinson syndrome complaining of dysphagia and ignored for a long time. We report these two cases with review of the literatures.
